Energy-efficient Somar Eluma luminaires were recently implemented in a retro-fit project to replace 371 x 400W metal halide fittings at the production facility of British Ceramic Tile (BCT Ltd); supplier to Homebase, Laura Ashley, etc. The existing fittings were replaced with 334 x Powerboss Eluma Intelligent luminaires.
Annual efficiency savings in excess of £87,000 were achieved, representing a 75% reduction in kWh consumed, as well as an increase in light quality in the facility. On top of this, this project was funded by a 3 year Pay-As-You-Save lease agreement, which delivered positive cashflow of over £4,000 from month one.
